Emotional SMARTS® Book
THE BOOK: This 94 page, easy to read, understand, relate to and apply emotional intelligence book presents a model on how to get and keep yourself emotionally smart - particularly as you deal with unrelenting change and uncertainty in both your personal and professional life.
In it Dr. June Donaldson presents her view of the four major Cornerstones necessary in demonstrating our Emotional SMARTS®. She refers to these Cornerstones as the A, B, C, and D of being emotionally smart.
The "A" relates to having high Awareness Skills - being emotionally literate in what we say and do. The "B" addresses key skills in behaving appropriately in a wide variety of settings and with culturally and demographically different people. The "C" relates to being able to connect well with others and send messages that we are likeable, trustworthy and capable. Last, the "D" relates to Decision Making and being able to make big picture, far reaching decisions that stand the test of time and scrutiny.
By design, the book is "de-acamademicasized" as it was written to be an easy to read, educational, encouraging and affordable book.
